Venture Director

Enactus EUR is seeking a Venture Director to lead and enhance our incubation and acceleration program. In this role, you will oversee the progress and development of all startups within the Enactus EUR ecosystem, ensuring they receive the guidance, resources, and strategic support needed to thrive. This position requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex business challenges and support founders in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and continuously improve the incubation and acceleration programs offered within the Enactus EUR ecosystem.
- Act as the primary point of contract for all startups and founders, providing hands-on support, mentorship, and guidance.
- Assist startups with goal setting, ensuring they progress as efficiently as possible toward growth and sustainability.
- Represent the interests and needs of startups within the Board, ensuring their concerns and opportunities are communicated effectively.
- Serve as a sparring partner for founders, providing strategic advice and problem-solving support.
- Regularly (multiple times per week) exchange with the Head of Consultants to align consulting support with the needs of each venture, ensuring consultants are matched to relevant projects.
- Regularly coordinate with the Head of Erasmus Startup Hub (ESH) to monitor startup progress and continuously improve incubation initiatives.
Skills/Requirements
Enrolled as a student at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and supporting founders in achieving their vision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of assessing and advising on various business models.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective time management skills, especially during high academic pressure periods.
Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
